She enjoys spending time with her 3 adult children, kayaking, walking on the beach with her poodles, and eating her husband’s amazing cooking. She is honored to be working with South Whidbey at Home and serving the South Whidbey community.

Frank Simpson

Frank Simpson, Program Director

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Frank came to the U.S. to pursue studies in Landscape Architecture. He completed a master’s degree before moving to a career in teaching and land conservation planning in Southern California.  While in California, Frank worked as landscape architect and grant administrator for the California Resources Agency where he oversaw land and wildlife conservation projects for nonprofits and local and regional government agencies.   Arriving on Whidbey in 2014, he volunteered at Meerkerk Gardens before taking the position of Garden Manager and Executive Director until 2021.   Working with SW@Home offers Frank an opportunity to continue the Founders’ vision of supporting our community of members and working with the talented and dedicated group of volunteers at the heart of the organization. Frank lives in Langley where he enjoys reading, music, gardening, and being on Whidbey Island.  We are very happy to have Frank onboard as our Program Director!
